Halo Reach : World Premiere!

Bungie pulled the wraps off of the upcoming Halo Reach for the first time at the Spike Video Game Awards. While it doesn't show any gameplay yet, it reveals a little more of what we should expect along with the in-game graphics engine which looks impressive.
As the PurreOnline Halo apologist it's my duty to present the first video of the 2011 GOTY.

The wait was excruciating. The anticipation was nearly unbearable. The result was everything we’d hoped for, and more. Infinity Ward and Activision have done it again; they stole the spotlight, they stole the stage, they’ve stolen our hearts. Modern Warfare 2 blasted onto the scene to meet a massive, hungry fan base gathered from the original Modern Warfare, and it did not disappoint.

After months and months and frantic searching and hoping 2K games finally reveals a Musical Special Edition for the upcoming BioShock 2 game. Sequel to the hit game.
The Edition will be available for Xbox360, PS3 ($99.99) and PC ($89.99) on February 9th, 2009 and it will include quite of a few amazing things. Hit the jump for the detailed list.

UPDATE:
Gearbox announces an official release date of November 24th 2009 for PS3 and Xbox 360. So get your Zombie Killing Guns and your looting self ready for some of Dr. Ned's Zombie Island DLC. It is priced at 800
($10) for Xbox Live and $9.99 for PS3. Nothing about Level cap increase but there is promise of some great Zombie Killing and who doesn't like Zombie Killing and some more loot. Maybe we can get an awesome alien weapon called the "Dezombifier" or a Zombie weapon that sucks up zombies and then shoots them back out. Maybe I'm getting carried away.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Preview

Electronic Arts’ newest installment into the Battlefield series, Bad Company 2 is slated for release on March 2nd 2010 in North America, and March 5th 2010 in Europe. Developer Digital Illusions CE (DICE) will again be overseeing the design of yet another Battlefield title.
Since E3 2009, when Electronic Arts went public with their intentions of producing a sequel to their hit title Bad Company, there has been a steady trickle of information released, and leaked, into the public domain. My goal with this preview is to compile as much credible information as I can, in hopes of providing all of you Bad Company 2 fans with as complete of a picture as possible of this much anticipated title.

Edgy and gritty, the Need for Speed series has typically given fans a game that encompasses the underground side of racing. With underground races, police chases, and options to customize your car that would make even Exhibit's jaw hit the floor. The latest instalment in this series, known for satisfying the driving deviant in all of us, has taken a step in the other direction. Bringing racing back to the track, where police have no authority, and completely customizable body kits are simply uncalled for, Need for Speed: Shift is developer Slightly Mad's attempt at reviving publisher Electronic Arts' floundering series. So, has the result been sink, or swim?

Bad Company 2 Beta News

Gamestop has done it again. Promoting a promotion, before the publisher was able to release the incentive. Gamestops around the United States began promoting an incentive for Playstation 3 to pre-order Bad Company 2 and be allowed exclusive access to the beta that would drop on November 19th.
When questioned, EA spokesperson confirmed the existence of the beta and said that more news later this week. I am hoping that this beta is not PS3 exclusive, and that it is made available to Xbox 360 users as well.
Edit: The beta is PS3 exclusive, PC beta goes live a few weeks later, and 360 gets a demo in the new year.

Tom Clancy is to tactical video gaming what Stephen King has become to thriller horror films: the standard. The ever expanding Tom Clancy line of games has become what tactical video gamers wait for. The latest Rainbow Six instalment 'Vegas 2' has brought publisher/developer Ubisoft some of its best reviews to date, and has shown some great progress in this line of games known for its realism, difficulty, and utter awesomeness.
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 begins where the first finishes off. A flashback to the first game serves as a training mission and helps fill in the gaps for those of you who aren't privy to the Rainbow Six: Vegas story. You are reminded of the traitorous actions of a team member occurring in at the end of the last instalment. You are the elite of the elite, and this time, you're hunting people trained by your own.
