Issue 2 - InfActivision

The date has been set, clear your calendar, get your pre-order ready. We're heading back to Rapture. Publisher Take Two has officially announced the release date for Bioshock 2 as February 9th, 2010. This will be one of the most anticipated dates by thousands of gamers.

The game will see a simultaneous, worldwide release across all three platforms (XBOX 360, PC, PS3). Leaving my mouth salivating with dreams of cross platform competition, as Bioshock 2 sports an all new multiplayer element. Details are still a bit scarce, but one thing is for certain. This game is going to steal the spotlight in early 2010. How long can it hold on?

Also, I can't let this go without honourable mention. Halo: ODST drops tomorrow. Into the open hands of millions of hungry Halo lovers worldwide. Compliments of Bungie as per usual with all things Halo.I am not even a fan of Halo, however, I am going to have to at least rent this one.
The television ads and hype leading up to this game is crazy. I was impressed and quite happy to see that ODST ran an ad on television. To me it shows how confident Bungie is of their game to market it so aggressively and to spend the money on television space.
So there's the shout out to Halo: ODST, next Frag Count we'll take a look and see if this game delivered all that was expected of it.

On another note, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was released this week.  It received mixed reactions from fans. This may be a game to go down into the FAIL box.
First off, the game is essentially identical to the first. Aside from a few different characters (by different I mean there aren't really more characters, the selection is just different), and the ability to utilize fusion moves in combat, the game hasn't changed a bit.
Secondly, the story that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 uses, is straight out of an X-Men movie. Come on! The super-human/mutant registration act has already been done. I was counting on a new story for a new game. After the first 2 levels, I could tell you exactly where the story was heading. This was a real downer, and made game-play less exciting.
Lastly, the Juggernaut pre-order bonus was completely and utterly a screw up. With thousands of people obtaining  the codes without pre-ordering, and an equal number of people pre-ordering, and not receiving the codes. This is largely due to the fact that the codes were not packed inside the pre-order games. They were produced and shipped separately, dispersing them correctly was left solely to the game distributors. So you can thank your local game shop for the screw up. Then thank Activision for thinking that their plan was not full of FAIL and not just package the code inside the pre-order cases.

i dont think its that we dont want negative comments. personally any feedback is good feedback in my opinion.

im just saying what you pointed out was pretty obvious. and we all knew that on september 21st there pretty much was no site. so just chill, and work with us on this for a bit. its trickier than one might think to have a website and set it up so only certian people can alter or add content in certain areas. thats all we were trying to accomplish..

uh cool, if i knew what it was, i'd be interested.

i just thought i'd let you know since being 10 days old makes some of it make no sense especially about talking about anticipated games that had already been released (hello odst)

if the general idea of the -1 point is that you don't want feedback, fine.

I have to agree with you. MUA2 is essentially the same they added a few nifty things which I appreciate but overall not as exciting.

As for the story, well they tried to base it of the Civil War line from the Marvel Comic story. Which, yes, it was loosely adapted to the movie. While I think this was better done and truer to the comic story it failed to deliver.

I think though they did a lot of fan service with the artwork and costumes and certain characters oh and the nod to Secret War which is the prologue of the video game the attack on Latveria. Which as a longtime Marvel Fan I liked.

Great Article by the way and hell yeah to Bioshock!
